It’s still hurricane season, is your Disaster Recovery Plan current?
August 22, 2012 |

When planning for a disaster, ask yourself the following questions:
- Can I access my information 24/7? Make sure you can access your backup information anytime. For extra reassurance, seek out a solution that will convert hard copy files into an electronic format which can be accessed through a secure online “virtual” file room.
- Is important information backed up? Typically, the more effort a business owner puts into preparing and storing backups of both hard copy and electronic files, the easier it will be to recover from a hurricane. Once the information is backed up, store copies in multiple locations and consider offsite backup tape storage.
- Are files and our disaster recovery plan securely stored? Find a secure records storage location that will withstand high sustained winds and protect information from falling into the wrong hands.
